Henry J. Parrott died yesterday afternoon at his home on Eighth street near Boundary at the advance age of 75 years. For a year and a half Mr. Parrott had been confined to his home, and the last seven months had not left his bed. Mr. Parrott was a native of Fayette county, Ohio, where he was born June 26, 1825. On August 21, 1866, he enlisted in Company E, 36th Iowa infantry, and was discharged from service on the 21st day of June, 1864. With his family he came from Dakota to this city in 1890. Besides a wife he left eight children, five boys and three girls. Notice of the funeral will be announced later, and it will be held under the auspices of the G.A.R.
